As Technical Director for Landau Chris is responsible for the Specialist Projects within the business. Chris joined Landau in 2002 after completing a BSc (Hons) in Yacht Surveying at Southampton University. He has been involved with boating all of his life and started his first role building Rigid Hull Inflatables back in 1995.

His passion for all aspects of boat building, from design through to manufacture, is reflected in his teams of handpicked boat builders and specialist technicians provided to support the UK's major OEMs. Chris fosters a positive environment where collaboration with clients is key. He has unrivalled experience selecting, managing and motivating talented teams capable of delivering any size of yacht build or project. He is a firm believer in providing opportunities for development and takes immense pleasure from seeing team members learn, grow and excel in their roles. Chris’ clients tell us this is the secret behind the reliable builds his teams are able to consistently deliver.

The determination and strength of character exhibited in his approach to work extends from Chris' love of testing himself in the sporting arena. When not working all hours to provide a stellar boat building service, you will find him planning across West Wittering on his kiteboard or getting his trainers dirty running along the Jurassic coast. Chris relishes the mental challenge of long distance running, he’s already completed two ultra marathons and will be first to put his hand in the air for new adventures.
