Company History

Landau UK Ltd was founded by Ben Metcalfe after leaving his three year degree in Boat Building Technology and Marine Industries Management Course.

"I started Landau UK because of my obsessive interest in all kinds of boats.

Having spent most of my life around boats and boat owners I had often heard complaints of engineers not turning up on time or not sticking to quotes.

I knew that there was a demand for a reliable, quality ship wrights firm.

So I took my training, tools and experience in electronics to the marinas. I found that turning up on time with a hoover and keeping the owners informed soon led to being inundated with work."

But we have not forgotten that delivering a reliable and excellent service at a reasonable price and always putting the owner first are vital ingredients to a healthy marine business.
